Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Interventional Radiology for a travel nursing job in Savannah, Georgia. This Radiology RN will work in a diagnostic environment with a diverse team to provide procedural care under physician instructions.

The position requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and may require additional certifications before starting. Travel duties include lifting up to 50 pounds and long periods on their feet.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Start or check peripheral IVs.
• Access and assess infusion ports.
• Administer medications.
• Monitor vital signs.
• Suction patients.
• Insert Foley catheter(s).
• Help patients with personal needs.
• Inform radiology staff of unusual patient needs.
• Administer IV sedation or analgesia during procedures.
• Monitor patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters.
• Stand, walk, bend and stoop as needed; lift up to 20 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally).
• Be aware of hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

We're looking for Radiology RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Savannah, GA. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

As a Radiology RN, you should have experience and skill in caring for patients in a diagnostic environment. Radiology Travel Nurses will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate and implement diagnostic care using correct procedures and physician instructions.

Responsibilities

• Start or check peripheral IVs
• Access and assess infusion ports
• Administer medications
• Monitor vital signs
• Suction patients
• Insert foleys
• Help patients with their personal needs
• Inform the technologist or radiologist of any unusual patient needs
• Perform specialized nursing duties, such as administering IV sedation or analgesia during special procedures
• Closely monitor patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Easily lift 20 pounds
• May require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times
• May face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases
