Job description

Physical Therapist Assistant - Inpatient

We are seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our inpatient care team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients regain mobility and strength during their hospital stays.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to patients' recovery needs.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and mobility training as directed by the supervising therapist.
  • Monitor patients' progress during therapy sessions and report findings to the physical therapist.
  • Educate patients on exercises and techniques to support continued recovery after discharge.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatments provided and patient progress.
  • The role is based in hospital inpatient units where PTAs help patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or illnesses requiring intensive rehabilitation.
  • This position requires physical stamina as it involves assisting patients with mobility exercises throughout the day in a fast-paced environment.
