Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations, review medical records, and complete VA-required documentation. No prescribing or follow-up care is required.

The role requires an MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R and an active Oklahoma medical license. Excellent assessment and documentation skills are essential, with flexible scheduling options and administrative support provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required and board certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R (Physiatry).
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (Oklahoma).
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation before evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of evaluations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certified in one of the following specialties:
• Neurology
• Psychiatry
• Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry)
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.
