DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations, review medical records, and complete VA-required documentation. No prescribing or follow-up care is required; focus is on thorough evaluations and precise reporting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of evaluations while maintaining HIPAA compliance and VA standards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO is required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Active, unrestricted license in the practicing state is required.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.

Education

MD/DO

Active medical license in state of practice

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certified in one of the following specialties:
• Neurology
• Psychiatry
• Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry)
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.
