Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform TBI C&P examinations, review records, and complete VA-required documentation. The role does not involve prescribing or ongoing patient management.

You will evaluate cognitive, emotional, and physical residuals, prepare thorough reports, and ensure compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations. Flexible scheduling and administrative support are provided.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
• Board Certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry).
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.

Required Qualifications
