Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an experienced Nursing Manager for the Trauma Unit 2 to lead patient care delivery and administrative operations. The role focuses on implementing evidence-based nursing practice, directing budgeting, staffing, and quality improvement initiatives within the unit.

The Manager will ensure compliant, culturally competent care and collaborate with other disciplines to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge: process improvement, project management, and strong interpersonal and nursing leadership skills.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience with prior leadership roles (precepting, charge role, or committee leadership).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and RN certification required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures delivery of evidence-based patient care.
• Manages department administrative and fiscal operations and budgeting.
• Leads staffing, scheduling, and recruitment for unit needs.
• Oversees quality improvement, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in policy formation and decision making at the unit level.
• Promotes professional development and staff education.
