Job summary

Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diverse ultrasound exams including general, breast, OB/GYN, and more in a level II trauma acute care setting. You will ensure image quality, educate patients, and maintain equipment and QA in a multi-location lab.

The role requires RDMS/ARDMS or ARRT Sonography credentials, plus CPR/BLS. Weekend coverage and call rotations are part of the schedule; weekend shifts and irregular hours are expected.

Qualifications

• RDMS/ARDMS certification required upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire.
• Experience with ultrasound imaging and diagnostic procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses imaging equipment to form diagnostic ultrasound images and maintains clinical documentation.
• Educates patients about procedures and performs exams following protocols.
• Evaluates image quality and presents findings to the physician.
• Maintains ultrasound lab, equipment, and QA measures; troubleshoots issues.
• Monitors supplies and adherence to regulatory standards.
• May work across multiple locations as required.
