Job summary

Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Trauma team. This role focuses on inpatient rounding responsibilities and requires collaboration with surgeons, residents, and other clinical staff to deliver patient-centered care.

The successful candidate will have ACLS, Maryland license, NCCPA certification, and at least two years of Surgical PA experience in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Certification by NCCPA and Maryland license required/active.
• ACLS certification required.
• 2+ years Surgical PA experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Strong communication and EMR skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides health care services to patients under the direction and responsibility of the attending physicians and the Clinical Director of the Department of Surgery.
• Assists surgery while following the attending surgeon's directions and manages surgical case workflow.
