Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Staff Nurse for the 36-variable Night shift in the BWH Trauma Surgical unit. The RN is responsible for planning and providing patient care in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care, demonstrating initiative and clinical skills for patients with complex needs.

Eligible candidates hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Massachusetts RN license; a 1-year surgical experience is preferred, with emphasis on safe medication administration and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required
• 1 year of surgical experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a specific patient assignment
• Maintain continuity through clear and concise communication
• Develop a comprehensive plan of care based on initial assessment data
• Develop and implement a comprehensive discharge plan utilizing resources and referrals
• Participate in unit-based and organizational quality improvement programs
