Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota, is seeking a BE/BC general surgeon fellowship-trained in surgical critical care with extensive trauma experience to join their emergency general surgery, trauma, and surgical critical care team.

Practice Details

• Coverage includes Surgical Critical Care Service, Emergency General Surgery, and Trauma Surgery Service.
• Team comprises ten surgeons and six nurse practitioners.
• Region’s only Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, & Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center.
• Trauma volume of 2,700 cases/year, predominantly blunt trauma (95%).
• High volume of complex emergency general surgeries.
• Opportunity to obtain an academic appointment through the University of North Dakota Medical School.
• Teaching medical students & surgical residents and research opportunities are available.
• Critical Care Fellowship beginning in 2026.
