Geisinger's Northeast Pennsylvania Trauma department is seeking BE/BC Critical Care Trauma Surgeons to join their state verified Level I Trauma Center located in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania.
This is an outstanding opportunity for another member to join our team in providing care to patients in all three facets of Acute Care Surgery.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the candidate will have the option to conduct clinical research and be involved in resident and medical student education with the potential for an academic appointment at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine commensurate with your experience. Position Details
They have expertise in the management of the critically ill and postoperative patient, particularly the trauma victim, and specialize in critical care medicine diagnoses and treat and support patients with multiple organ dysfunction. This specialist may have administrative responsibilities for intensive care units and may also facilitate and coordinate patient care among the primary physician, the critical care staff and other specialists.
Work is typically performed in a clinical and office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)
