Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a Trauma RN for PRN shifts. The RN coordinates high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers, responds to emergent situations, and advocates for patients throughout the care journey.

The role includes assessing status, performing provider-ordered procedures, documenting care, administering meds, and preparing patients for procedures with attention to preoperative meds and surgical site verification.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, PALS, and TNCC certifications required within specified timelines.
• 1 year of trauma or acute care RN experience.
• Active RN license in Florida.
• Associate degree or higher in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, noting changes.
• Perform procedures or functions ordered by the provider.
• Document care delivery in the medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
• Prepare patient for procedures, including IV therapy and surgical site verification.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Trauma Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In partnership with medical providers, the RN recognizes and reacts to emergent situations and assists in surgical site verification. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
