• Location: Evanston, IL 60201

St Francis is seeking a Trauma RN Coordinator. A trauma Coordinator is a registered Nurse responsible for monitoring and coordinating trauma services to ensure an organized team approach to the care of trauma patients using performance and quality improvement processes.

Responsibilities
  • In conjunction with the Trauma Medical Director, responsible for the organization of services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to injured patients, and for managing, promoting, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day operations of the Trauma Program.
  • Provides direction for patient care across the continuum in collaboration with trauma team physicians, sub-specialists, nursing, and ancillary services.
  • The Trauma Coordinator is a registered nurse responsible for promoting optimal trauma care through clinical activities, professional and public education, administrative functions, and quality improvement activities.
  • Responsible for the Trauma PI Program, Trauma Registry, and Community Injury Prevention Programs.
  • Works with outside agencies including EMS and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintains communication with all involved departments and individuals to ensure coordinated trauma patient care, from pre-hospital care through discharge, transfer, rehabilitation, or death.
Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science preferred.
  • Current licensure by the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained.
  • Current PALS (AHA) or ENPC certificate upon hire and maintained.
  • TNCC certification required.
  • Minimum of three years in emergency nursing and trauma patient care.

The estimated total compensation range for this role is $35.35 to $53.58 per hour, with the final offer based on experience, education, credentials, and other factors.
