Job summary

• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM and ISS codes preferred.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Identify trauma patient admissions daily, complete data collection sheets and maintain patient log.
• Initiate and complete Trauma Registry information, including demographics and injury data.
• Assess data accuracy through validation studies as outlined by the State of North Carolina.
• Participate in State Registry meetings and trauma research.
• Provide information concerning trauma statistics and quality assurance as requested.
• Design and revise forms for data collection and prepare reports to evaluate trauma care.
• Maintain Trauma Registry documents and confidentiality of data.
