Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks an experienced Trauma Recovery Center Outpatient Clinical Psychologist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering trauma-informed assessment, psychotherapy and case management. The senior clinician provides supervision, staff training, and program development, with opportunities for home and community outreach and collaboration with other health providers.

Typical duties include intakes, crisis intervention, and comprehensive treatment planning for survivors

Qualifications

• Requires a fully licensed, doctoral prepared clinical psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)
• Pre-doctoral internship and Doctoral Program must have been APA accredited
• Minimum of one year experience in ambulatory care (preferred)
• Training/specialization with trauma informed care/trauma populations
• Effective writing, communication, and analytical skills
• Research design and grant writing experience preferred
• Programmatic planning experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts clinical intakes using a trauma-informed approach and identifies service needs when appropriate.
• Clinical interventions include short-term trauma-informed evidence-based psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and comprehensive case management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and refer/connect to community services with treatment staff support.
• May visit patient at home or in the community for outreach and follow-up as needed.
• Provide consultation on psychosocial sequelae of trauma, substance use, psychiatric illness and chronic medical concerns.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans and coordinate services across agencies.
• Lead program development efforts with the Director and TRC leadership.
