Advocate Health is seeking a licensed clinical psychologist to join the Trauma Recovery Center at Christ Hospital. The role delivers a full spectrum of psychology services, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence‑based psychotherapy, with emphasis on collaborative care and family involvement.

The position requires a doctoral degree in psychology, APA‑accredited internship, and extensive clinical experience, with a focus on multidisciplinary treatment planning and community resources.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited graduate program.
• Completion of APA accredited Internship / Residency in Clinical psychology.
• Graduate curriculum / coursework and clinical training which reflects preparation to function as a psychologist in the area of specialization.
• Five years clinical experience, including one year predoctoral internship / residency, one year minimum post‑graduate clinical experience supervised by a licensed Clinical Psychologist and at least 3 years of clinical experience in area of specialization.

Responsibilities

• Conducts psychodiagnostic assessment according to established clinical protocol and formulates case conceptualization and diagnostic impression.
• Provides diagnostic consultative services as ordered by the physician.
• Provides psychotherapy on an individual, couple, family and/or group basis following established clinical guidelines for specific disorders.
• Formulates goal‑oriented treatment plans with expected outcomes in collaboration with patient and family where appropriate.
• Educates patient and family regarding illness, its course, treatment and alternatives.
• Develops plans to incorporate community‑based resources and coordinates with other health care providers.

Education
