Northwell, a leading health system in the Northeast, seeks a trauma prevention program professional for Vassar Brothers Medical Center. This role leads injury prevention education, community outreach, and public relations to elevate trauma care visibility across the region.

Responsibilities include developing education programs, coordinating with hospitals and public groups, and securing grant funding while modeling our REACH values and ensuring reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years clinical healthcare experience working within a trauma program.
• PREFER: Bachelor’s Degree.
• STRONGLY PREFER: Two (2) years of Public Relations or community outreach experience.

Responsabilités

• Develops and implements injury prevention programs.
• Serves as a resource to nursing staff, pre-hospital personnel, and other outside personnel related to trauma care and injury prevention education.
• Conducts community education programs for diverse populations and coordinates responses to requests for injury prevention information.
• Develops and maintains a public presence for the prevention program.
• Develops brochures, audiovisual aids and presentation handouts.
• Acts as a spokesperson for injury and trauma prevention issues.
• Acts as a liaison to other hospitals and community groups related to trauma prevention and outreach.
• Identifies, pursues and obtains sources of program support and/or grant funding.
• Establishes and implements strategies for continuous improvement.
• Maintain and Model REACH Values (Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Compassion, Honor).
• Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.
