Job summary

Penn Highlands Healthcare is seeking a Trauma PI Coordinator / Injury Prevention and Outreach Coordinator. This RN will lead quality reviews for trauma care and drive trauma prevention initiatives in partnership with the trauma team.

Travel within the service area and collaboration with EMS and community programs are essential parts of the role. Qualified candidates have an active RN license with advanced certifications (CPR, ACLS, PALS) and substantial nursing experience, plus leadership

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania RN license or temporary practice permit.
• Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced certification within 2 years of hire; CPR, ACLS, and PALS; participate in STN-TOPIC course within one year; maintain 8 hours of continuing trauma education annually; demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills with all members of the health care team; familiarity with quality and performance improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality review of trauma care delivery.
• Monitor and evaluate all trauma-related PIPS activities in collaboration with the trauma team.
• Manage trauma prevention and outreach programs.
• Travel within the service region to engage with community and EMS partners.
• Collaborate with external businesses and community programs.
