Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is hiring a Trauma Step Down/Progressive Care (PCU) Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with providers to support perioperative and post-operative nursing needs on a Level II trauma center unit.

The role offers night shifts, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends/holidays, and opportunities for trauma certifications and career growth through our education programs. Join our team today.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: ADN or higher
  • Licensed as RN in the state of practice or hold a compact/multi-state license
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/Red Cross)
  • Current ACLS certification or able to obtain within 30 days of hire/transfer
  • At least 6 months RN work experience

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; identify and report changes in status
  • Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor response
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients

Job Summary and Qualifications

TheTraumaStep Down/Progressive Care (PCU) Registered Nurse(RN)coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, theTraumaPCU RNprovides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. TheTraumaPCU RNserves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

What qualifications you will need:
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is required - ok to be obtained within 30 days of transfer/hire
  • At least 6 months previous RN work experience required

This is a Full Time,NightShiftposition. Shifts are 12 hours in length (approximately 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).

Rotating Weekends and Holidays are required.
