Job summary

MultiCare Auburn Medical Center in Auburn, WA seeks a Trauma Orthopedic Surgeon for per diem coverage. The role involves rapid assessment, surgical intervention, and recovery planning for complex musculoskeletal injuries, working with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include joint replacements, fracture repairs, patient education, and maintaining records. Requires MD/DO, WA license, board certification or eligibility, current BLS, and fellowship or substantial trauma experience.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility at time of employment.
• Licensed to practice in the state of WA by start date.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers current.
• Fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma or substantial trauma surgery experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose musculoskeletal injuries with rapid assessment.
• Perform surgical procedures including fracture repairs, joint work and reconstructions.
• Educate patients about treatment options and post-surgical care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with hospital policies.
• Participate in on-call rotation with the provider group.
• Collaborate with Emergency Physicians, Trauma Surgeons and Rehabilitation Specialists.
