Job summary

SAMGI is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (Fellowship-trained) to join Christus St.Elizabeth in Beaumont, TX. You will provide acute orthopedic trauma coverage as part of a surgicalist model focused on exceptional patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with trauma surgery, anesthesia, rehabilitation, mentoring mid-levels, and contributing to performance improvement, with administrative support from SAMGI to allow you to focus on patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery with fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma.
• Proficient in acute orthopedic trauma techniques, including complex fracture management.
• TX medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Board-certified/board-eligible status required for Orthopedic Surgery as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma care in the ED, OR, and inpatient setting.
• Maintain response coverage within 30 minutes, delivering timely, expert care.
• Collaborate with trauma surgery, acute care, anesthesia, and rehabilitation teams.
• Participate in surgical decision-making, performance improvement, and quality initiatives.
• Mentor and supervise mid-level providers and trainees.
• Contribute to SAMGI’s performance and compliance protocols.
