Description:

Utilizes current nursing practices to provide patient care, focusing on patient needs and exemplifying service excellence goals of care, concern, respect, and cooperation. Develops and provides a comprehensive plan of care for assigned patients as a team member.

Clarifies and implements orders from physicians, physician assistants, and/or advanced practice nurses by administering medications, performing treatments, and testing as prescribed. Recognizes symptoms, establishes priorities based on patient condition, and documents assessments of physical and emotional status to address patient needs effectively. Demonstrates mastery of unit-based competencies and orientation goals.

Gathers information from patients and families to develop educational plans. Formulates, implements, and revises patient care plans based on assessments, patient data, and available resources. Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care.

Completes required documentation and communicates effectively to meet patient, family, and regulatory needs. Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive information.

Reviews and evaluates discharge plans with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families to facilitate timely and appropriate discharges.

Uses time and resources efficiently to promote quality care and cost-effectiveness.

Seeks opportunities for professional growth and enhances job skills and knowledge.

III. Position Requirements

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree required; BSN or MSN preferred.

Minimum Experience:

2-3 years of relevant experience required; 5 years preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

Required: CPR and current Registered Nurse License in Illinois.

Preferred: Specialty certification in a clinical or functional nursing area from a national organization.

Pay Range: $34.76 - $57.06 per hour

Actual compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification, and peer comparison.
