Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work with medical providers to deliver pre- and post-operative nursing care and advocate for patients to ensure an unparalleled experience.

The role requires maintaining accurate documentation, applying the Nursing Process, and complying with safety goals while supporting the care team across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or a compact state.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• ASN or BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical providers.
• Advocate for patients to support an exceptional patient experience.
• Document all patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Use Nursing Process to plan and provide individualized care.
• Perform technical skills and procedures as ordered by providers.
• Ensure compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served

• Promotes customer service initiatives along with Skyline Medical Center Service Values. (HCAHPS)

• All behaviors fully support positive customer service (HCAHPS)

• Documents all patient care.

• Utilized Nursing Process for individual care to meet needs of patients.

• Demonstrates ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

• Promotes compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.

• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.

• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.

• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.

• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
