Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking a Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse to coordinate care for patients and collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

You will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families. The role requires 1 year of med/surg experience, TN nursing licensure, and BLS certification. Certification in Med-Surg is encouraged within the first year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform assessments and reassessments, develop individualized plans of care, administer medications, document and educate.
• Maintain equipment and communicate patient needs across team.
• Support patient satisfaction and quality standards through effective rounds and service initiatives.
• Demonstrate nursing skills and use the nursing process to meet patient needs.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurseis responsible forcollaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

• You will be performing patient roundingin an effort tomaximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.

• You willdemonstrateknowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.

• You will promote customer service initiatives.

• You are given the opportunity toutilizenursingprocess for individual care to meetneedsof patients.

• In thisroleyou willdemonstrateyour ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
