Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking a Medical-Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate patient care. You will work with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families, perform assessments, develop individualized plans of care, administer medications, document care, and educate patients and families.

Requirements include a minimum of 1 year med/surg experience, graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing, Tennessee RN

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• You will perform patient rounding to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages served.
• You will promote customer service initiatives.
• You are given the opportunity to utilize nursing process for individual care to meet patient needs.
• In this role you will demonstrate your ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

Education

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurseis responsible forcollaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.
