Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Nursing Assistant II for the Trauma Med/Surg unit. Shift: Nights, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.

Provides patient care under RN direction, focusing on hygiene, mobility, hydration, and nutrition while maintaining safety and privacy. The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and 1 year of healthcare experience or graduation from an approved nursing program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of healthcare experience in the past five years.
• Completion of one of the listed trainings: CNA, Florida CNA, LPN, nursing program graduate, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutrition.
• Provides routine treatments and maintains a clean, safe patient environment.
• Maintains patient safety and privacy; protects confidentiality.
• Follows standard precautions and hand hygiene between patients.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Records vital signs and relevant patient data per policies.
• Communicates patient status and safety concerns to RN or team.
• Participates in handoff reports and hourly rounding.
• Transports and delivers items, equipment, or medications within the facility.
