Job summary

Valley Youth House in Philadelphia seeks a Coordinator for the YAIC program to engage youth in developing transition plans using trauma-informed and culturally appropriate approaches.

You will develop and facilitate workshops, coordinate curriculum with the team, and promote wellbeing by providing safe spaces and supportive activities. A BS/BA in a relevant field and experience with adolescents is required.

Qualifications

• Engage youth in developing and implementing goals using positive youth development and trauma-informed frameworks.
• Develop and facilitate workshops and community events to promote youth engagement and growth.
• Coordinate curriculum updates and program activities with team and partners.
• Promote safe spaces and address negativity using trauma-informed approaches.
• Be the crisis/incident point person following agency protocols.

Responsibilities

• Engage youth in developing and implementing individual transition plans.
• Develop and facilitate workshops, sessions, and events to promote engagement and personal growth.
• Coordinate curriculum implementation and updates with team and partners.
• Promote well-being by creating safe spaces and applying trauma-informed methods.
• Serve as the point person for crises or critical incidents per regulations.
