Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Youth Development Coach - Level 1 to join our residential program in Michigan. The role provides trauma-focused support to clients and helps with day-to-day functions within the residential department.

The position requires a high school diploma, preferable experience with children, and entails supervision, behavior management, and documentation responsibilities in a group setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working directly with children preferred.
• 40 hours of MCHS orientation to be completed.
• 25 hours of annual MCHS trainings to be completed.
• Active CPI training certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper care and supervision of clients at all times.
• Provide assistance with daily life activities for clients.
• Participate in recreational activities.
• De-escalate and manage disruptive behavior using approved methods.
• Transport clients in agency vehicle when needed.
• Maintain welfare, safety, and treatment objectives for clients.
• Complete daily documentation (logs, mileage, incident reports).
• Adhere to Employee Handbook and program policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
