Job summary

Nexus Family Healing is seeking temporary Youth Care Professionals for our Onarga, IL location to provide daily support in a structured, homelike setting for youth aged 10 to 20. This role emphasizes trauma‑informed practices and collaboration with a team of professionals.

You will assist in treatment planning, safety protocols, and mentorship, helping youth build skills and resilience while maintaining a safe environment and meeting daily living needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must successfully pass a DCFS criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Daily Youth Care Support: mentor and model compassionate communication with staff and clients.
• Treatment Planning & Protocol: administer medications and support treatment guidelines with boundaries.
• Client & Family Reinforcement: supervise off-campus activities and promote accountability.
• Client Safety & Agency Policy & Procedures: ensure safety, perform first aid/CPR, de-escalation as needed.
• Agency and Team Collaboration: participate in meetings, mentor new staff.
