Job summary

Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch is seeking a Licensed Addictions Counselor to support a trauma-informed environment and deliver substance use services to youth with complex histories. The role emphasizes mentorship and positive role modeling in a mission-driven setting.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, coordinating group and individual therapy, maintaining EMR records, providing aftercare planning, and collaborating with a treatment team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Criminal/child abuse clearance required by Montana.
• Associate of Arts degree or certificate with 330 contact hours in addiction-related field.
• Montana LAC license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential chemical dependency assessments per DSM-5 and ASAM criteria.
• Schedule and conduct group, individual, and family therapy sessions for youth.
• Maintain EMR records per policy; ensure timely documentation.
• Provide follow-up and aftercare planning as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings with the team.
• Provide prevention services as directed by supervision.
• Support PQI goals and organizational mission and values.
• Engage in monthly supervision/coaching and training as appropriate.
