Job summary

Pace Center for Girls in Miami is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide trauma-informed therapy and community-based prevention for girls ages 11-17. The role emphasizes gender-responsive practices, strength-based approaches, and collaboration with families and schools to support healthy development and reduce risk behaviors.

Responsibilities include weekly therapy across multiple settings, family counseling, care planning, and coordination with community providers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field required.
• Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist or Clinical Social Worker or eligible as a registered intern.
• Current driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of case management and community behavioral health practices.
• Experience working with at‑risk youth is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Increase girls’ resiliency by building protective factors at the individual, family and community levels.
• Provide weekly therapy services to girls in school/home/community settings using evidence-based interventions.
• Provide family support/counseling to encourage progression in the change process.
• Develop care plans, conduct assessments, and coordinate with outside providers.
• Advise on crisis interventions and risk assessments as needed.
