Job summary

Gateway Rehab Center in Youngwood, PA, seeks a full-time Substance Use Disorder Therapist to provide evidence-based therapy at our halfway house. The role includes individual, group, and family sessions, trauma-informed care, and care coordination with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of addiction and its psychological, physiological, and social impacts.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Experience facilitating individual and group therapy.
• Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain professional and effective in challenging situations.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilize trauma-informed treatment through evidence-based practices.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and outcomes with the treatment team.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy as needed.
• Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain relationships with referral sources connected to patient caseloads.
• Coordinate continuing care planning and referrals.
• Monitor and complete insurance authorizations for assigned patients.
• Provide referrals for additional care and support services as needed.
• Maintain an ongoing productivity expectation of 50%.
• Participate in supervision and seek guidance when appropriate.
• Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
• Follow OMHSAS, DPW, and DDAP regulations and guidelines.
• Complete orientation and annual training programs.
• Provide coverage for other programs as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
