Job summary

The Staff Wellness Manager at Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes in Juneau oversees the emotional, psychological, and physical well-being of employees across the organization’s Community & Behavioral Services Division, leading trauma-informed wellness initiatives and programs.

You will deliver trainings, provide post-incident support, develop policies, coordinate resources, and partner with leaders to promote psychological safety and resilience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or related field.
• Four or more years of experience in behavioral health, staff wellness, or employee support services.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver trainings or workshops on trauma stewardship, resilience, stress management, and self-care.
• Provide post-incident support (psychological first aid) and coordinate follow-up resources.
• Develop and evaluate a trauma-informed staff wellness program for the division.
• Create protocols for staff wellness response after critical incidents with leadership input.
• Maintain staff wellness resources, materials, referrals, and communication tools.
• Offer confidential consultations for stress, burnout, and work-life balance.
• Monitor wellness program effectiveness and track engagement and retention indicators.
