Job summary

The Jewish Board seeks a skilled social worker for outpatient mental health services at the Seymour Askin Counseling Center in Brooklyn. The clinician will perform assessments, create treatment plans, and provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy, including Lev Initiative services.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree and NY license (LMHC/LCAT/LMFT/LMSW). Experience in trauma, IPV, and culturally responsive care is preferred; hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work.
• New York State License or limited permit in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC); Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or social work (LMSW) required.
• Experience providing outpatient mental health treatment in a clinic or community setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and risk assessments for clients referred to the Center for Jewish Mental Health.
• Develop, review, and update treatment plans in collaboration with clients and supports.
• Provide individual, family, group, collateral, and crisis services, including Lev Initiative psychotherapy.
• Coordinate care with psychiatric, medical, housing, legal, and community supports as clinically indicated.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation per agency, OMH and payer requirements.
• Participate in clinical meetings, supervision, and required trainings.
