Valle del Sol is seeking a School-Based Counselor to deliver behavioral health counseling, assessments, crisis intervention, and care coordination for children and families in partnered schools and community settings. The role supports trauma‑informed, culturally responsive care and promotes student success with collaboration among school personnel, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or related field.
• Active Arizona behavioral health license or associate license (LMSW/LCSW, LAC/LPC, LMFT/LAMFT).
• Must meet licensure/certification requirements per Arizona law.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 5 days of start date.
• Arizona Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within 5 days of start date.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group, and family counseling to children and adolescents in school-based settings.
• Conducts behavioral health assessments, screenings, treatment planning, and documentation.
• Provides crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and stabilization support.
• Collaborates with school staff, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Facilitates therapeutic groups and psychoeducational interventions as needed.
