Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore, St. Vincent Villa is seeking Residential Treatment Counselors to provide treatment, care, and supervision for children ages 5-13 in a residential behavioral health program.

The role involves implementing CARE philosophy, behavioral supports, and individual treatment plans within a structured unit, with duties covering daily living assistance and safety oversight. The position offers a 4-day or 5-day workweek with shifts from early morning to evening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist children in daily living activities to ensure safety and nurturing.
• Model positive behavior and teach respect, responsibility, and age-appropriate social interactions.
• Escort children between locations and to appointments to ensure adequate supervision.
• Maintain safety, order, and structure of the therapeutic milieu.
• Use therapeutic communication based on diagnosis, age, and developmental level.
• Assess behavior, mood, and communication and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
