Job summary

Greenwich House in New York City is seeking a Counselor II to provide flexible, person-centered therapy within the Center for Healing. You will address substance use and recovery with a solution-focused approach, helping clients gain self-sufficiency and improve outcomes in a supportive, mission-driven setting.

The role requires LMSW or LMHC plus one year of clinical experience, strong group and individual counseling skills, and adherence to ethics and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed social worker or licensed mental health professional with clinical experience.
• Experience applying evidence-based practices in counseling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload with individual and group treatment.
• Develop and update treatment plans with patient input.
• Complete paperwork in an electronic medical record system.
• Attend weekly interdisciplinary meetings and supervise sessions as required.
• Adhere to ethics, confidentiality, and agency policies.
