Job summary

REST is seeking an Outreach Support Specialist to expand access to services for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking in Seattle. The role focuses on Aurora/North Seattle and South Seattle areas, building relationships with individuals and partners to connect survivors with REST and community services.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed, strengths-based, and harm-reduction approaches, with responsibilities spanning outreach, referrals, safety planning, and cross-team

Qualifications

• Experience providing street outreach, community-based services, advocacy or crisis support.
• Ability to build trust with individuals in nontraditional settings.
• Strong safety awareness and sound judgment in field work.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings/weekends and across Seattle.
• Ability to document outreach activities accurately.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence along Aurora corridor and priority areas.
• Conduct scheduled street and community-based outreach using trauma-informed approaches.
• Provide immediate basic-needs and harm-reduction resources.
• Provide referrals and information to REST and community services.
• Coordinate with Outreach Supervisor on locations and safety.
• Document outreach contacts and referrals in the data system.
