GRO Community is seeking a Mental Health Professional to provide structured behavioral health services to male clients aged 5 and up in Cairo, IL. The role offers home, school, community, or justice-related settings and requires collaboration with schools and probation staff.

The position emphasizes advocacy for Black and Brown communities, with a focus on trauma-informed care, skill-building, and real-life application of coping strategies in diverse environments.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Aufgaben

• Provide one-on-one and group-based behavioral health services.
• Deliver skill-building, role-playing, social communication, and problem-solving interventions.
• Support clients in real-life community settings including schools, homes, probation and reentry programs.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders such as school deans, case managers, and probation officers.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and follow clinical service plans.
• Submit timely progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Maintain a maximum caseload of 25 clients.
• Attend supervision and team meetings regularly.
• Teach alternative strategies and practice age-appropriate social skills in the community.
• Complete monthly professional and personal development training assigned by GRO.
