Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to float between outpatient and inpatient programs in the Spokane area. The role supports nurses, psychiatrists, and clinicians, performs venipuncture, vital signs, EKGs, and medication-related tasks, with travel between sites as needed.

The position emphasizes de-escalation, patient support, and maintaining confidential records, under an experienced RN-managed framework within FBH’s Trauma-Informed Care environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active Washington Medical Assistance Certified Credential at time of application.
• BLS certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Food Handler's Card or must obtain within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and basic lab procedures.
• Obtain vital signs; conduct EKGs.
• Support nurses, nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists in patient care (e.g., medication refill requests and prior authorizations).
• Travel between outpatient and inpatient locations as needed; report changes in patient condition or crisis to RN manager.
