Woodward Community Based Services (WCBS) in Marshalltown, IA seeks a compassionate Youth Service Worker to provide in-home treatment and skill-building for youth ages 11–19 and their families. You will manage a caseload, deliver weekly skill-building sessions, and coordinate with schools, mental health, and child welfare partners to support individualized goals.

Formación

• Requires a four-year degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Social Work or a related field.
• Two years of college and at least one year of full-time employment with at-risk youth or in law enforcement.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in home and community settings while collaborating with youth, families, and other professionals.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and respond to crises.

Responsabilidades

• Provide in-home Skill Development services to youth ages 11–19 and their families.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 8–12 youth.
• Provide approximately two hours of Skill Development services per week to each assigned youth and family.
• Help youth develop practical skills based on individual needs and goals.
• Build positive, professional relationships with youth and families while maintaining boundaries, structure, and safety.
• Maintain timely service notes, reports, and releases as required.
• Communicate regularly with parents, Juvenile Court Services, and other professionals.
