Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Part-time Group Facilitator to lead the IPAEP program groups.

The role requires trauma-informed approaches, respectful facilitation, and strong communication with participants and referring agencies. This fee-for-service position offers hourly compensation and flexibility to support growth, with a focus on empowering participants to acknowledge responsibility and adopt non-violent behaviors.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Massachusetts DPH approved Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program and proof of Certification required.
• Experience in group facilitation and reflective listening.
• Understanding of the dynamics intimate partner violence within the contexts of power and control.
• Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Co-facilitate weekly intervention groups virtually and in person.
• Teach problem‑solving skills and non‑violent behavior options.
• Establish rapport and understanding in a non‑judgmental and objective manner so as to build trust, reduce resistance, and elicit the necessary feedback.
• Model appropriate boundary setting, confrontation, reframing, paraphrasing, reflection and clarification.
• Communicate with the referring community, as needed or requested.
• Appropriately confront acts of intimate partner violence and other counterproductive behaviors.
• Document progress/process notes for each participant to include attendance and payment record
