Job summary

Queen of Peace Center in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Family Therapist to provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy to individuals and families affected by substance use and co-occurring behavioral health challenges.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; or certification through the AAMFT.
• Minimum one year of supervised experience providing family therapy or family counseling services.
• Working knowledge of Family Systems Theory, family treatment planning, and evidence-based family therapy modalities.

Responsibilities

• Provide family therapy services utilizing evidence-based family systems and therapeutic interventions to address family dysfunction related to substance use and behavioral health concerns.
• Assess family dynamics, identify dysfunctional interaction patterns, and develop strategies that promote healthy communication, relationships, and long-term family stability.
• Facilitate individual, family, group therapy, and psychoeducational services as indicated by the treatment plan.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and update family-focused treatment goals and interventions based on client and family progress.
• Conduct in-home therapy and community-based services as needed to meet client and family needs.
