Job summary

People Incorporated in Fall River, MA, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, M-F role. The position emphasizes a safe, nurturing classroom supporting social, emotional, behavioral, and academic growth for young children with developmental delays.

Strong PBIS and trauma-informed practices are required. The role involves collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams, implementing individualized strategies per IEPs, and ensuring program and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Special Education is required.
  • Massachusetts DESE licensure in the listed areas is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with children with behavioral challenges.
  • Experience implementing PBIS frameworks and trauma-informed approaches a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Background check clearance; driver’s license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with best practices.
  • Support children with developmental delays and diverse needs with PBIS strategies.
  • Collaborate with families, behavioral specialists, and leadership to meet IEP goals.
  • Maintain safe, structured classroom environment and document progress.
  • Ensure compliance with MA EEC licensing, CACFP, and NAEYC criteria.
