Job summary

Joseph J. Peters Institute (JJPI) seeks a Child and Family Clinician to provide trauma-focused therapy primarily for children in Delaware County. The role includes intake evaluations, program referrals, and collaboration with Family Support Line and DCCAC staff.

Therapy will utilize TF-CBT, PSB-CBT, and CBITS with children and some families or adults. This is a full-time, grant-funded position located at the Media, PA site, with potential school-based outreach.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in clinical field such as clinical psychology or mental health counseling.
  • At least two years of clinical experience with populations served, including individuals who have experienced childhood sexual abuse (CSA) and/or other traumas.
  • Preferred: Independent practice license, license eligible, or actively working towards clinical licensure.
  • Preferred: Experience with TF-CBT, PSB-CBT, and CBITS (training will be provided if not trained)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high quality clinical services for JJPI participants in Delaware County.
  • Conduct intake evaluations and interviews with participants and involved parties.
  • Provide TF-CBT, PSB-CBT, CBITS therapy to eligible participants.
  • Complete school screening evaluations and provide recommendations to parents and school staff.
  • Collaborate with FSL and DCCAC staff and participate in treatment/staffing/consultation teams.
  • Participate in case management and documentation per grant requirements.
  • Attend clinical meetings and supervision; develop professional community relationships.
  • Promote agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals.
