Job summary

Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in Sidney, NE is seeking compassionate Child and Family Services Specialists to support families involved with the child welfare system. You will assess safety, conduct home visits, and advocate for permanency and well-being for children.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in social work or related field is required.
• Enrollment in final semester of bachelor’s degree may be considered.
• Preferred experience in child welfare, juvenile justice and/or case management.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a case manager for families referred to DHHS.
• Conduct home visits and comprehensive safety assessments in diverse settings.
• Advocate for the well-being of children and families while respecting diversity.
• Collaborate with the legal system to support permanency goals.
• Write timely, accurate documentation for internal and legal use.

Education
