Job summary

Wellpoint Care Network is seeking a Child Welfare Caregiver Support Specialist in Milwaukee, WI to assist out-of-home care providers. The role focuses on improving placement stability and supporting caregivers through trauma-informed education and resources.

You will work one-on-one with caregivers in their homes, helping them navigate the child welfare system, plan transitions, and access community services while meeting deadlines with integrity and independence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related degree preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related degree required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in service provision to child welfare kids/families with preference given for case management and licensing experience.
• Crisis intervention experience.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to caregiver skill development and knowledge base.
• Contributes to program outcome goals through interventions that support stability.
• Supports and educates the team in transition planning for children.
• Advocates for families within the system and empowers caregivers to advocate for themselves.
• Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with treatment team members.
