Job summary

Acuity International is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support families and unaccompanied children within government processing facilities. The role focuses on daily care, safety, and dignity, with trauma-informed practices at the core.

You will coordinate with medical staff and interpreters, document services, and respond to emergencies while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and humane treatment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed caregiving principles.
• Ability to work calmly in emergencies and high-stress situations.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive daily care to individuals and families with focus on safety and dignity.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene.
• Distribute and monitor supplies and clothing.
• Monitor well-being and report medical concerns or abuse.
• Provide trauma-informed emotional support and maintain a safe environment.
• Document caregiver activities and incidents accurately per policy.
