Job summary

Austin Sunshine Camps is hiring a Camper Wellness Coordinator to champion the safety and well-being of campers across our Lake Travis and Zilker Camp locations. You will support trauma-informed care, intervene in crises, and help design staff training to sustain healthy camp culture.

成功 in building trusting relationships with diverse youth, you will partner with families and coordinate resources while ensuring compliant documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ and pursuing or have a master's/licensure in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
• At least 2 years of camp/youth development experience.
• Ability to pass a national criminal background check.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis de-escalation.

Responsibilities

• Champion campers' mental, emotional, social, and physical safety.
• Design and facilitate trauma-informed training for staff.
• Lead age-appropriate wellness programming and foster positive cabin culture.
• Serve as primary responder for crises and create coping plans.
• Communicate with guardians and coordinate outside resources.
• Document incidents following required guidelines.
