Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Observe patients and report observations to the nurse or clinician.
• Provide patient-centered and trauma-informed care.
• Create a therapeutic environment for safe treatment.
• Perform observation rounds and document in real time.
• Communicate clearly to address patients’ and families’ needs.
• Record vital signs and glucose levels as ordered.
• Orient patients and families to the unit and de-escalate when needed.
• Intervene as required and monitor patients in restraints per policy.
• Conduct environmental rounds and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist with daily group activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
